You might have a big presentation coming up and you’re stressed because the team are not cooperating. Or you’re having performance issues with your team and you need to manage it carefully as well as the million other things on your list.
You can get stressed because it all comes back on you. These situations might threaten your position or your image in the company, which in turn might threaten the outcome of your job and career in the long term.
So when anything is perceived as a threat, we get stressed. That’s normal and natural.
But it’s prolonged stress that is the problem and begins to impact your quality of life.
